Pilates, if well taught, has a profound effect on every day life, both psychologically and physically. It strengthens every tiny muscle and a well trained instructor adapts a special program for each client. I am 75 and have had a hip replacement and also have an acute scoliosis of the spine. I swim 20 lengths of a pool nearly every day and maintain a big garden. Due to the excellent care I have received from Pilates instructors for many years I have avoided surgery and am remarkably active and fit. To sum up, I don't really quite understand why everybody doesn't do Pilates. The help and instruction you will receive from Equilibrium will be expensive but first class.
